Service discovery: ZooKeeper vs Eureka

Eureka is far more suitable for service discovery, because it is an AP system created especially for this purpose.

ZooKeeper - CP system suitable for maintaining configs

Eureka - AP system suitable for service discovery, created in Netflix.

for service discovery, it is better to have particular and maybe not accurate info (or false) than nothing
AP layers can be build on top of ZooKeeper (Pinterest and AirBnb are using it), but it has limitations
Eureka supports heartbeats, local caching, no leader elections
